Teamlead of developers of smart home system for hotels (remote work, further relocation to Cyprus)

The Company has been in the market for many years and we have now decided to create a new system to better meet market needs. So now we are looking for a Teamlead/Lead Backend Developer to build a hotel automation system.

The system is a hybrid cloud/on-prem solution for configuring, monitoring, and automating smart home systems for hotel complexes. It utilizes both proprietary equipment and products from major international vendors such as ABB, Schneider, JUNG (using protocols like KNX, ModBus, etc.), and implements Internet of Things (IoT) concept.

Requirements:

• You have gained first experience in leading small teams and you want to lead and develop our project with a high level of independency
• You are able to create and manage a software development team based on your development plan (UX/UI, backend, frontend, engineering with main focus on backend development)
• You have a good understanding of Quality Assurance (QA), Test Driven Development (TDD), Unit tests, etc.
• You have 3-4+ years of proven experience with programming popular backend languages like Node.js, PHP, Go, Python (tech stack is to be discussed)
• You enjoy working in a team and have an agile mindset
• You are able to freely communicate in English (not less than Higher-Intermediate level, B2+)

As a plus:

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science, mathematics or a comparable field of study.
• You have experience in building IoT software solutions based on different hardware vendors, sensors, actuators, bus systems, e.g. KNX or ModBus, MQTT, etc.
• Your focus is on software development with basic understanding of hardware development
• You have experience with high-load cloud/on-prem/hybrid solutions
• You are ready to relocate to Cyprus (after probation period)
