We have 30 years of expertise in designing and building custom software systems. We provide software development services focusing on complex high-load applications, AI and BI solutions, and mobile apps.

The essence of the project: We are building a powerful analytical tool that helps store owners understand visitor profiles (gender, presence of children/pets). Based on this data, they make strategic decisions about space planning, food court layouts, escalator placement, and tenant mix. The backend part of the product is nearly complete (the pilot will be finished by the end of August). Our immediate goal is to build a first-class visualization and dashboard layer that will become the face of the product.

We are looking for: A strong Power BI developer who doesn’t just build charts but understands retail analytics business logic, can work with large aggregated datasets, and can quickly switch between heavy enterprise tools (MS Power BI) and lightweight open-source solutions for ad-hoc tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex, multi-layered enterprise reports and interactive dashboards in Microsoft Power BI for external clients (mall and store owners).

  • Build and optimize data models (Data Modeling) in Power BI based on data from PostgreSQL.

  • Write advanced SQL queries directly against the database: data extraction, transformation, preparation for visualization, and query performance tuning.

  • Rapidly prototype and deploy lightweight dashboards in Metabase (highly preferred) or Superset for internal operational monitoring and quick insights.

  • Improve dashboard UI/UX and collaborate directly with end-users to gather and refine requirements (all communication in English).

  • Participate in data mart architecture reviews and coordinate with backend engineers to align database structure with reporting needs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in Power BI development (strong proficiency in: DAX, Power Query, role management, Row-Level Security).

  • Excellent command of SQL (complex joins, window functions, CTEs, query optimization) at an advanced level.

  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (writing and debugging queries directly in the database).

  • A portfolio of completed dashboards (screenshots or published works are required for consideration).

  • English language — B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher (daily communication with clients and the team, technical calls, reading/writing documentation in English).

  • Highly Desirable (Strong Plus):

  • Experience with Metabase (administration, setting up questions, dashboards, and alerts/subscriptions).

  • Experience with Apache Superset.

  • Understanding of Retail Analytics, experience with aggregated traffic data and audience segmentation.

  • Experience integrating Power BI with external APIs and cloud platforms (Azure).
