We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Operations Manager to oversee our internal IT projects, manage IT procurement, control costs of existing systems, and streamline IT service delivery through automation. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of operating independently in an uncertain environment, and have a keen interest in applying AI to enhance internal IT processes. As an IT in-house Support Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT operations while maintaining a high standard of security.

Key Responsibilities

IT Procurement Management

  • Oversee the acquisition of IT services, ensuring alignment with organisational needs and budget constraints.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to secure the best deals and contracts.

Cost Control

  • Monitor and manage costs associated with existing IT systems and services.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and optimizations.

Process Automation

  • Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline IT service delivery and support processes.
  • Utilise no code/low code platforms to create efficient workflows and automations.

IT Support

  • Provide support to staff by addressing IT-related queries and issues.
  • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets and maintain high levels of user satisfaction.

System and Tool Management

  • Administer and manage Google Workspace, Slack, and JIRA to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop custom scripts and solutions using JavaScript and/or Python to enhance system functionality.

Security and Compliance

  • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect company data and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

— Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and JIRA.

— Experience with no code/low code solutions for process automation.

— Programming experience with JavaScript and/or Python.

— Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations.

Experience

— Proven track record of managing IT projects and procurement.

— Demonstrated ability to control and optimise IT costs.

— Experience in automating IT processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Soft Skills

— Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

— Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in an uncertain environment.

— Interest in applying AI technologies to streamline internal IT processes.

— Security-conscious mindset with a focus on maintaining high security standards.

— Comfortable working remotely and managing remote teams.

Education

— Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
