Job Title: Web Designer / Layout Developer (Contract Position, 100% Remote, Full-time)

Company Overview

GetLatka.com is looking for a dedicated and versatile Graphic and Web Designer to join our creative team on a contract basis. The candidate will be tasked with designing innovative solutions for both our website and quarterly magazine.

Responsibilities

Website Design

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to conceptualize and design new features for our website

• Assess existing website elements for potential improvements, focusing on optimizing the user experience

• Produce design mock-ups, wireframes, and prototypes for development

• Iterate on designs based on analytics data and user feedback

Magazine Design

• Take the lead in the creative process for our quarterly magazine, which has both digital and printed versions

• Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure seamless integration between content and design elements

• Manage print layout specifics and coordinate with print vendors; must have experience in print design

Additional Skills

• Ability to produce HTML code from designs to expedite the development process (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with Adobe InDesign is considered a plus

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in professional design settings

• Strong portfolio demonstrating a high level of skill in graphic and web design

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with an emphasis on InDesign

• Experience with UX and user testing is a bonus

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines

• Experience with designing for print is essential

Job Type

This is a contract position. Compensation will be either hourly or based on the project, depending on the agreement between both parties.
