Summary

We are looking for DevOps Engineers to help support our new and existing web-based applications. Our DevOps Engineers work closely with Web Operations, Development and Computing to deploy their code, provide operational support for or new and existing applications and debugging production issues. Candidates should be able to perform functions required to deploy, configure, support and troubleshoot issues with web application environments.

Responsibilities

⦁ Maintenance of our web applications and services
⦁ Deploying web applications to production environment
⦁ Monitor, prevent and troubleshoot security related issues
⦁ Communicate with IT, DevOps and Dev teams in the event of an incident
⦁ Understand website and application capacity planning requirements and ensure web applications are deployed in a scalable architecture
⦁ Ensure proper monitoring is in place for our production environments
⦁ Identify automation opportunities, design and develop automation solutions to improve operations efficiency
⦁ Troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively
⦁ Taking feature requests

Requirements

⦁ BS in Computer Science, Engineering, another science or equivalent experience
⦁ Strong Linux experience
⦁ Experience with Yandex/Selectel cloud provider
⦁ Experience with Docker Engine
⦁ Experience with Kubernetes
⦁ Experience with version control systems (Git, Mercurial)
⦁ Experience with CI/CD automation tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo)
⦁ Strong scripting or programming in at least one of the following areas: Python, Java, JavaScript, Bash
⦁ Familiarity with web server software administration (e.g. Apache, Nginx)
⦁ Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Puppet, Ansible, Chef, SaltStack)
⦁ Familiarity with database administration is a plus (e.g. MySQL, PostreSQL)
⦁ Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, Kerberos
⦁ Familiarity with virtualized container management (e.g. Rancher)
⦁ Experience with cloud providers is a plus (e.g. AWS, Azure)
⦁ Good experience in internet service deployment, provisioning, and software deployments
⦁ Affinity for open environments that encourage education, cooperation and teamwork
⦁ Capable of embracing guidance from team members
⦁ Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication
